The California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) would like to invite you to exhibit your instructional materials at the CABE 2009 Annual Conference.CABE conferences are recognized locally, nationally and internationally as the largest gathering of teachers, administrators, researchers, parents, and other community members dedicated to serving English Learners. The annual meeting has expanded beyond the field of bilingual education to include strong dual language, heritage language, culturally responsive teaching/learning and English Language Development/SDAIE strands that provide the latest strategies and research beneficial to English Learners and Standard English Learners (SELS). Nomination Forms for CABE 2009 Awards
The California Association for Bilingual Education is proud to announce that it is accepting nominations for the CABE 2009 Seal of Excellence Award.  The Seal of Excellence Award was inaugurated in 1996 to honor exemplary bilingual education programs throughout the State.  This prestigious award honors schools that have established effective programs for their English Learners. CABE recognizes that there are many outstanding bilingual Administrators, Para-Educators, Teachers, Parents, and Students who have made contributions to bilingual education and to the education of English Learners. This is the opportunity to honor them for their excellence, dedication and promotion of bilingual education. CABE invites you to submit nominees for the CABE 2009 Awards. Please complete and mail the application forms to CABE Headquarters by November 7, 2008. Call for Proposals
The link to submit a workshop proposal is currently closed. We thank everyone for submitting a workshop proposal for the 2009 CABE Annual Conference in Long Beach, CA. We are currently reviewing all proposals received and presenters will be notified of their acceptance in October 2008 via e-mail with further instructions. After review of the proposals, we find we are lacking proposals in certain strands, we will post the strands needed. If you feel you have a workshop topic that would greatly benefit our attendees or your workshop fits one of the strands needed, please contact me at ingrid@bilingualeducation.org to receive the on-line submission link.
