CABE invites you to nominate you Administrator, Teacher, Para-Educator and Parent of the Year Award
CABE recognizes that there are many outstanding administrators who have made contributions to bilingual education and to the education of English Learners. This is the opportunity to honor one of them for their excellence, dedication and promotion of bilingual education. A Committee will select the recipient of this annual award. The winner will be honored at the CABE 2010 Conference at the San José McEnery Convention Center.

Student Writing Contest
The Student Writing Contest for the CABE 2010 Conference in San José, California, will focus on the many advantages of being
bilingual. The theme for this year’s writing contest is “Advocacy for Biliteracy: Reaffirming our Collective Commitments.” Winners will be selected by a committee in four grade level categories, K-2nd, 3rd-5th, 6th-8th and 9th-12th. CABE 2010 Seal of Excellence Award Application
The California Association for Bilingual Education is proud to announce that it is accepting nominations for the CABE 2010 Seal of Excellence Award. This prestigious award honors schools that have established effective programs for their English Learners.

Please sutmit your proposal On-line or download the nomination forms on PDF format, complete and mail the completed application packet, which must be received on or before the November 12, 2009 deadline.

Guest room reservations at the official hotels are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests for guest rooms should be faxed, emailed or mailed to the San José Housing Bureau. Failure to receive your first choice does not constitute an error. If accommodations are not available at the hotel of your choice, comparable reservations will be made at alternate participating hotels. You should receive a reservation acknowledgement within 48 hours via email or fax. Please allow up to 7 to 10 business days for mail acknowledgements.
